MANAGING DIRECTOR

THINKER & PLANNER 

Russell led the growth and sale of Custom Communication Systems Group over a 15-year period leading to a trade sale to in 2013.

From a sales, product and electronic background, Russell founded M&T in 2016 with the vision of delivering technology and construction based projects underpinned by quality engineering and the opportunity to work alongside a fantastic team.

Rob

ROB BROWN

CEO

PROCESS & CULTURE

With 33 years in the Telecoms industry as an Engineer, Project Manager, Programme Manager, Business Founder and Director, Rob brings a wealth of experience to the team. Enticed out of early retirement by Russell’s passion for quality precision engineering, his desire to do things right and the drive to build a legacy - to build "something great”.
Rob will define, develop and evolve the systems and processes to help the team deliver.

Karen

KAREN BOURNE

ADMINISTRATION MANAGER

ORGANISER & PROBLEM SOLVER

Karen played an instrumental role in the growth and sale of Custom Communication Systems Group to Virtua UK in 2013. Her accounting and administration background is balanced with HR management and business acumen skills. Karen has joined M&T to organise our back of house activities and ensure that we operate to the highest of standards.

Mark

MARK PHILPOT

MANAGING DIRECTOR - M&T DESIGN SERVICES LTD

Having joined the industry in 2005, Mark is proud to be part of the continual rate of change & growth within the Telecommunications sector, working with industry-leading vendors and manufactures, to shape future design across the UK.

As Managing Director of M&T Design Services, Mark’s responsibility is for the delivery of bespoke accredited design & supporting an effortless transition into build.
At the weekend, Mark can often be found walking with his wife & son in the forest, watching Formula One or following up with his latest DIY project. Occasionally he has been known to go to the gym in an attempt to get fit

Pete

PETE MYBURGH

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Pete Myburgh joined our team  in 2019 , bringing with him a wealth of experience. He started out as an apprentice technician in 1998 ,Cape Town, South Africa.  He has spent the majority of his career working within the UK, gaining solid experience of the telecoms sector including Broadcast,PCN and DAS.

His technical ability and enthusiasm is a welcomed contribution here at M&T.

MATTHEW LUNN

PROJECT MANAGER

Matthew brings Electrical and Communication Site Management expertise to our team. He has been involved on a range of commercial, industrial and rail projects over the past 20 years.  He is a hard working individual committed to achieving the highest of standards in his assignments.  He likes a challenge and values strong,  good relationships with his colleagues.


 

Dave

DAVE POTTLE

In his early years with an electrical and mechanical background Dave could be found traveling the globe installing and commissioning customer product solution of various types including industrial Microwave Ovens, infrared and hot air tunnels for the food sterilizing and car industries e.g.

In 2001 Dave joined Axell Wireless switching to the communications industry where he learned the product range for Public Safety and MIMO and SISO solutions, experiencing the construction development and test elements. Within a couple of years Dave was back out in the field performing the survey, installation and commissioning solution heading up the field team for several years. He progressed through his twenty years’ service to the Service Operations Manager controlling the projects from order to completion with customer support thrown in. Any free time Dave can be found out on his bike determined to keep active and healthy

Dave

STEVE ROLFE

Steve is a radio communications specialist with over forty years of experience in the industry. He started as an electrical and electronics apprentice in 1976 leading to a role designing and developing RF equipment for both civil and military applications. He has set up and run field engineering teams building and looking after radio sites across the UK. He has over twenty years of experience designing and specifying in building communications and special coverage solutions for both public safety and commercial cellular networks. He is an enthusiastic trainer, offering customers engineers the opportunity to learn from his technical knowledge. Steve is based in the UK but has worked on communications projects around the world.
